Who is Eligible for Golden Visa UAE and How to Get One

August 25, 2023

Since the program’s debut in 2019, hundreds of thousands of UAE citizens have received a golden visa UAE.

People who have made great contributions to the nation, possess highly sought-after abilities, or operate in vital sectors that are essential to economic growth are awarded 10-year resident permits.

In November, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai reported that the emirate had granted more than 150,000 golden visas.

Golden visas UAE have been given to a wide range of persons, including exceptional students and students who received the highest grades in their final exams and medical professionals who were on the front lines during the Covid-19 pandemic.

How do golden visas work?

With the use of golden visas, foreigners can live, work, and study in the UAE without the need for a local sponsor and with full ownership of any businesses they establish on the country’s mainland.

As long as the recipient continues to comply with the terms of the visa, they may extend it for an additional ten years when it is about to expire. These visas are awarded for ten years.

Every two to three years, regular expatriate workers must renew their visas.

Can I work in the UAE with my golden visa?

You require a legitimate job contract, work visa, or license in order to be able to work in the UAE.

However, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization of the UAE has begun to grant work licenses to those who hold a golden residence.

These are necessary for both people who want to begin working for a specific employer after receiving their golden visa and those who intend to begin a new job with a different employer.
