How to Setup an UAE Onshore Company?
An onshore company is the most common type of company registered in the UAE. The onshore company can take the form of a limited liability company. The country offers investors two types of registration in the UAE: the free zone and the mainland.
Anywhere in the UAE that falls under the jurisdiction of the Emirati Government’s commercialized spatial zones, an Onshore Free Trade Zone firm can be quickly established and may be 100% controlled by a foreign national.
The majority shareholder or authorized agent representative must generally be a national of the UAE, and mainland enterprises must also have full, unfettered access to both the domestic UAE market and international markets.
The maximum number of visas is determined by the type of firm, and they are provided for a duration of three years. Directors, stockholders, and staff may be granted resident visas. Requires a UAE national to mandatorily hold at least 51% of the total equity of any commercial business registered as a limited liability company (LLC). The maximum shareholding allowed for a foreign national in an LLC is 49%.
